The title says it all. It is raining!
I don't think it is enough rain to fill the dams but at least it gives our parched ground a drink and cools down everything. I can only hope that there is more to come.
Jade looked up at the sky this afternoon and asked why is was broken. I told her that those were clouds!
No we don't get a lot of rain here, well we haven't had any for ages and are considered in a drought.
Is it really winter?
Today is surely looking to heat up. People are even considering going swimming it is that warm.
I think the lowest day time temp we have had was 20 Celsius (68F)
and the lowest night time was 9C (48F).
I think today will get up to 25C (77F).
Now I wish it would rain so the plants could get watered
and
that I could get some sleep!
It's raining, (only for a short time)
it's pouring, (now it is sprinkling)
the old man is snoring. (I hope not)
He bumped his head, (ow!)
on the end of the bed,
and couldn't get up in the morning. (should be up and dancing, we got rain even if it wasn't enough to fill a tea cup with)
Rain is something we haven't had in a while so I called all the kids to have a look. We also had mini hail stones to accompany it, and a little bit of lightening.
Now that my laundry is suitably wet, and the rain seems to have stopped, it is time to get out another load of washing and encourage it to rain some more.
Sunday, while I was delivering junk mail of all things, a mini-tornado hit our area. Well, it didn't hit me but the car did rock quite a bit in the wind while I took shelter in it. Looks like drought isn't the only thing now affecting the great southeast.
