Abbey Medieval Festival

We were all dressed in costume, had the trusty non-period pram and esky in tow and joined the crowds enjoying the festivities.
The crowds were bigger then last year but the costumes (of the non-re-enactors) were still prevalent. The costumes ranged from Obi-Wan Kenobi, to monks, to fairies, to bad hardly medieval wedding dresses (she was smoking and looked like she had just rolled around in the hay and hurridly pulled the oversized dress on - it was not a good look), barbarians, minotaurs, princesses and a few similar to us.

It was fun, though the littlies did get tired and crochety towards the end of the day, and what was even worse was having to decide how to spend their money!

Miranda fought in the childrens Esford Tourny and she won! Though the judges didn't see, everyone else did. She was also in the winning team for the games section. She had a great day and fully joined in the activities.

Next year we may do things a little differently, but I guess we will make that decision closer to next year's event.
