Meet Pene (pronounced Penny) Poppet.  She is the second jointed doll that I have made. The first one was great, this one not so. There are too many things wrong with her to list so I will spare you the grief. She looks ok still though. The next one I make will look better though.

The Porsche! Last weekend hubby borrowed a Porsche Boxster from a footy mate of his, for 24 hours. The kids were whipped off to a friends place for those 24 hours, and hubby and I went to town, literally. First stop was a nice little cafe restaurant for dinner (a little too slow for my liking). Hubby had the lamb cutlets which ended up being a huge plateful of meat with a few autumn vegies on it. I had the tempura crab salad. It was yummy, though a little heavy on the batter. After this it was off to the opera to see La Traviata. I didn’t think much of it at the begining but by the end it really had me. My only problem with the show was not being able to see the subtitles easily so I could both read and watch at the same time. After the opera, it was off to the casino where hubby put $10 on a keno ticket and $90 in chips, and ended up coming out with $200. A late night home, no kids to wake us up and a good night’s rest was had.

After church the next morning we headed up to Buderim for lunch and dined at Backofen. It was yum, great service and high quality produce for a very reasonable price. When we got there the whole front section was booked out, so we were seated up the side of the restaurant/cafe. It is definitely a place I wouldn't mind going again sometime. When lunch was had we picked up the kids, dropped off the Porsche and headed home for an easy night in.

Since then I have finished E7’s crocheted hat. I actually finished it off today and was given some helpful tips by a friend of mine, on how to finish it off. I really should learn some more stitches apart from single stitch and double stitch. I am happy with how it looks and fits.

Now that a couple of my projects are done, I should look at finishing up a few others I have left to do, like making my cherry print rain coat, and finishing up my cherry drawing. Not tonight though.
