I took the day off. Can you blame me? Too bad if you do, it is Mother's Day and it is my day off, well until my birthday in a couple of weeks.
I did think of many different things to create (especially since M11 brought home a guideline booklet for entries into the local show), but instead I thought I would show something someone else created and that I received today.
Our church gave gifts to all the mothers and all the mothers to be (females) and any boys who happened to get their hands in the passing basket. To boxed gifts went to the mothers only and it was a nice treat.
They contained - a sweet cappachino mix (gave that to hubby), small chocolate bar, chocolate sprinkles, jelly beans, tea bag and a small note. The boxes and tags were all hand crafted too.
The kids did give me some hand crafted gifts this year also, which were lovely.
I received a wooden toolbox (will become a handy reptile toolbox), a handmade card, 2 decorated handmade foam flowers, a blue cap (perfect for mowing), a handbag/briefcase with a sketching pad in it, and a few other things they used to fill up what they thought of as empty spaces. No pictures sorry, though I may get some later.
