Well, actually, it is a jointed doll, but I got the pattern, instructions and tutorials from a poppet-along (where everyone makes the same thing together and then posts their results). This is the first jointed doll I have made and it was way easier then I imagined it would be.
This girl has to have her hair done yet, and some clothes to cover up her nekkidness. And maybe a mouth too.
But she is probably the first doll in a long line of dolls I may make. Possibly as Christmas presents for neices. They won’t all be the same as this though, different coloured fabric for starters.
Enough rambling, time for an early bed as I have guests in the morning.

Well, what a week it has been. I am glad it is a long weekend. I think I need to recover a little.
So, let’s start this week in review.
Sunday
Sunday was church, followed by a partnership meeting about a property they wanted to purchase for office space and a community counselling service. The topic was discussed at great length and hubby asked a few key questions about money. In the end it was approved by the majority of partnership members. I can’t say what happened for the rest of the afternoon but I think it involved catching up on chores around here.
Monday
It was a typical Monday, busy and trying to get the working week started properly, plus organising the upcoming art show. That afternoon was PT with hubby. Hubby is the unofficial PT. I had a friend and her two kids join in for the afternoon. It was a great motivator for me, and our lot as well. PT started and finished early as I had to rush off and pick up some art on the way to my mail/bread run. I don’t think I stopped until I sat down to dinner organised by M12. It was yummy!
Tuesday

In 2 days time, possibly less if you count the hours, I am hosting an art show along side the Burpengary library. It should be good as there are a few families which are going to be involved. We have prizes coming from various businesses and individuals.
All I have left to do is print out the certificates and write on them all, after judging the work of course.
Busy times ahead.

Yesterday hubby and M5 were in car accident. The car rolled twice, on a dirt road. M5 was unhurt, not a mark on her and we did get her checked out twice, once at the accident site by the ambulance officers and once at the hospital 5 hours later when we picked up hubby.
Hubby on the other hand has a nice 20cm gash along his head which was stapled up and then wrapped up in the latest of hospital fashions in headwear. It looks like a beanie but is a long bandage wrapped around his head. He will be wearing it to the wedding tonight.
Oh well, time for me to get sewing in the hope I may be ready on time.

I have been performing a few experiments lately. Not only in the kitchen but in the house also, and for me personally. Most have worked out and some have gone unnoticed.
Some of my cooking experiments are : peach and yogurt fruit leather (still in the dehydrator), pea and bacon soup (nice but possibly leave the bacon out and just fry it up at the end and sprinkle on top), avocado spread (cream cheese, avocado, lemon juice whipped up together), sushi rolls (have the ingredients but need to put it together now).
House experiments – using a cheap fold up dirty clothes basket for the kids, it works most of the time
Personal experiments – well, I am waiting for anyone to notice, but they haven’t yet and it has been over 24hrs since I cut my hair. I took off at least 10 cm
I wonder how long it will take for anyone to notice, without having read this blog. Maybe I should dye my hair bright pink.
